Barolert does not collect your data. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything you log stays on your iPhone.
This data is stored in the app's private storage on your device (and in the shared container the app uses to feed its own widget). It is never uploaded to us, because we operate no servers of any kind.
If you allow location access, your coordinates are used for one purpose: to request the barometric pressure forecast for where you are. The request goes to Apple's WeatherKit service and is handled under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never see it, store it, or share it. You can decline location access entirely and pick a city manually instead — the app works the same way.
If you turn on "Save episodes to Health", Barolert writes the headache episodes you log into Apple Health. It only writes; it never reads your Health data. You can revoke this permission at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
Pressure alerts are ordinary local notifications, scheduled on your device from the forecast. No push server is involved, and no marketing notifications are ever sent — the only thing Barolert notifies you about is pressure.
Deleting the app removes everything it stored, permanently. Episodes you chose to save to Apple Health remain in Health and are deleted there. Before deleting, you can export your journal as CSV or as a PDF report from the Journal tab.
Barolert is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, regardless of age.
If this policy changes, the updated version appears here with a new date. Because the app collects nothing, changes are expected to be rare.
