Know the drop before your head does. Pressure alerts scheduled hours ahead — no subscription, no account, no server. Your journal and doctor exports stay free forever.
Barolert tells you that barometric pressure is about to fall — hours before it does.
One purchase. No subscription, no account, no server. Your journal stays free forever.
WHY THE WARNING COMES EARLY Other apps notice the drop when it is already happening. Barolert reads the 48-hour pressure forecast for where you are and schedules the alert ahead of time, right on your iPhone. Nothing has to run in the background, no server has to push anything, and you do not have to open the app to be warned.
HONEST NUMBERS, NOT HOROSCOPES Barolert compares the days you logged an episode against the days you did not, and reports the difference with a 95% confidence interval. Until there is enough data — at least 14 days of tracking and 5 logged episodes — it says so plainly instead of inventing a pattern. The scientific evidence linking pressure and headaches is genuinely mixed; this app measures your own data rather than asserting a link.
FOR YOUR DOCTOR Export a clean PDF report — summary, the measured association, a 30-day pressure chart and the full episode table — or the raw CSV with the pressure context for every entry. Both are free forever, with or without the purchase. Your own records are never taken away from you.
FREE FOREVER, WITH OR WITHOUT THE PURCHASE Your episode journal. The PDF and CSV export. Current pressure and the past 24 hours. Writing episodes to Apple Health. The purchase unlocks the warnings, the forecast ahead, the widget and Insights — not your own data.
PRIVACY BY ARCHITECTURE, NOT BY POLICY There is no account to create and no server to leak: Barolert has none. Everything you log stays on your iPhone. Your coordinates go to Apple Weather to fetch the forecast and nowhere else. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party code of any kind. Optionally, episodes are written to Apple Health — written only, never read.
ALSO USEFUL IF YOU LIVE WITH Weather sensitivity, Ménière's disease, vertigo, POTS, fibromyalgia, joint and scar pain, or sinus pressure. Anything that tracks the weather rather than the calendar.
Barolert tracks weather sensitivity. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat or predict any medical condition. Talk to your doctor about your symptoms.
